A Percent for Art artwork that spans 6 floors of the Supreme Court, Civil, Perth CBD. A collaborative project, remixing Jo Darbyshire's paintings to produce five new 20 metre panoramic artworks in digiglass printed glass tiles, installed across five floors of the Court building. Video production by Gina Pickering.
Jo Darbyshire was commissioned to paint an 18 metre long oil painting for the ceremonial courts on Level 4 of the new Supreme Court Civil in Perth CBD. The Journey of the River, (oil paint and Marri resin on canvas), carries the viewer on a journey from the rivers source, down to Fremantle and the Indian Ocean.
Rick Vermey and Jo Darbyshire also collaborated over a year to make the designs that were finally captured in 5 DigiGlass panoramas - each one 20 metres long and 40cm high - found on Levels 3,6,7,8 & 9, that explored other issues relating to the Swan River and layers of history.
